Today, on the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, whose theme is promoting the leadership of persons with disabilities for an inclusive and sustainable future, we highlight the tireless work of the Aveiro branch of the association Pais em Rede. In this context, we had the privilege yesterday of spending an afternoon with the young people and adults who are part of this branch.

Pais em Rede plays a central role in fostering inclusion for people with disabilities, promoting the development of skills that empower them to participate actively in society and the professional world. Through a personalized approach that values the unique abilities and characteristics of each individual, this association demonstrates in practice how to build a more inclusive, supportive, and empathetic community.

The painting activity we did together (see video) was more than a creative moment… Amid brushes, paints, ceramics, laughter, and even a birthday celebration, we shared an experience of connection and joy. Every interaction reinforced the importance of being united by a common cause: respect and appreciation for diversity.
