On June 20, employees of the COSTA NOVA Industria Group and their families took part in a volunteer initiative at Gaticão Association, from Vagos, with the goal of renovating the organization’s dog playground.

Under the theme “Honey, I Renovated the Park!”, adults and children came together for a day dedicated to improving this important space for the animals in the association’s care. Throughout the day, volunteers carried out cleaning, decorating and accessibility improvement tasks, helping create a safer, more welcoming and stimulating environment.

This initiative is part of the Group’s corporate social responsibility policy, reinforcing its commitment to the local community and to causes that generate a positive impact, such as animal protection and welfare. By encouraging employee participation in volunteer activities, the Group aims to actively contribute to building a more caring and socially conscious society.

“At a time when the holiday season is approaching and the cost of living continues to rise, animal abandonment has also been increasing, highlighting the vital role that private animal welfare organizations play in supporting communities,” says Liliana Padinha, Marketing Director of the COSTA NOVA Industria Group and a volunteer with the association. “Through this initiative, we sought to engage our Group community of more than 1,100 employees in a cause as meaningful and important as animal welfare,” she concludes.
